Fans of homemade weapons are offered to sit comfortably, as in this material we present an overview of the manufacture of the crossbow of the reverse design. The first thing we will explain is why the design of this crossbow is called reverse: the fact is that its string is pulled in the opposite direction, which allows you to get much more power.
On the other hand, the helmsman, the so-called sketch or squadron, made of blades with a bird's eye, like cannabis or hard leather. What do we need to make such a crossbow:
- a wooden strip with a thickness of 15 mm and a width of 28 mm;
- ruler;
- a pencil;
- hacksaw;

- two rollers;
- spring;
- two metal corners;
- nylon rope;
- door hinge;
- metal plate.
In all cases, the crossbow is supported with one hand in the dark, most often under the eye, and the other controls only the trigger. The bow does not hold in its hands, but is gently supported as a rifle. He works with one eye, according to the custom or the feeling of an arrow, whose eye is the majority. Under this option, the crossbow supports the rest of the hand, and the hand starts the cycle. First, the crossbow is slightly below the level of the eye held by the shooter in front of the face. The rod passes through the body, and the tip of the arrow is below the upper part of the line.
This method is the most accurate, but also the thinnest, to keep the crossbow at rest. Another way is similar, but the crossbow is slightly down and flat under the bones. He runs the tip of the stick below the top. The latter is "side by side", where the back piece of the crossbow sculpture rests on the side of the eye under the shoe arrow. In this case it is difficult, and it depends on how the wanderer knows his weapon. The last two scenarios of intersection of unforeseen situations are better suited for weapons with a longer statue. However, in any case, the crossbow has no shoulder.
We take the bar, which must be used to cut out four blanks. The length of the first blank should be 43 cm, the second - 31 cm. The remaining two blanks should be equal to 15 cm.
In all cases, the intersection of the crossbow is mentioned under the roof. It is impossible to accurately indicate the distance from the reference point from the center of the line, since it varies according to the distance of the rocket from the third. It is this aspect of the crossbow that is decisive for the accuracy of the attack, because the missile is required to quickly estimate the distance to the target and, accordingly, to detect it. An important condition is also the handling of a particular crossbow. Like any other weapon, each crossbow has other characteristics, especially the trajectory of the arrow, which depends on the unanticipated crossbow, the weight of the arrow, the shape of the statue, the precision of the tackle, and so on.
Next, take two short blanks and from each edge make a mark on 1 cm. Also from one edge of both blanks we make one mark of 5 cm.
The next step is to take the middle bar and make marks of 1.5 cm from both edges.
Make holes in the marked places.
For the production of a crossbow, the same materials and the same methods are used, but with the current tools. The brightest difference is the use of a laminate on the bank. The reason for this is a particularly easy production and increased safety in the fire. Laminate has a higher resistance to floating, and the flash frequency is much lower than that of raincoats or steel. The tension of the crossbow is different depending on the layers of the laminates, but usually does not exceed 70 pounds. Since the explosive is at a distance of 20 to 30 meters, the tensile force is sufficient. A 70-pound stretch bow is also able to pull your fingers out without help.
At the edges of the short slats we make through holes going to the holes drilled in the previous stage.
Further to the length of the bar at a mark of 25 cm we fix the middle bar. We will do this with bolts, washers and nuts.
Crossbow trigger mechanism with their own hands
The head of our crossbow is the most expensive of the money used for a sports bow and crossbow, that is, the material for this purpose with its mechanical properties is the most suitable. Another difference is the arrow used. An important advantage is that there is no need to change the crossword puzzle if you reach a higher level. What you need to change and develop is basically your own master skills. What are the two basic rules for archery? The first rule: never to shoot empty, there is no arrow - there is a risk to destroy the bow-crossbow!
For greater reliability, the author of the idea applies a layer of glue between the two slats.

How to shoot archery, like a head and run? The basic rule is to stand still and smoothly. The trigger should be very smooth, the shot should surprise you. Do not release it and do not raise the trigger pressure smoothly so that the sights are aimed at the target, if possible, that is, if the cross goes to the center of the target, it slightly increases the pressure on the trigger so that the shot goes out as accurately as possible when my the intentional cross will be at the center of the goal. What are the arrows? In principle, use the arrows for the type of crossbow.
Now we take two rollers, which were also used to make a block bow, and fix it with bolts next to the middle bar, as shown in the picture below.
After that, we take a spring, which can also be purchased at the car market, and we fix it on a crossbow with the help of a metal corner.
These are arrows that you buy directly with a crossbow, or you can buy arrows elsewhere, but if you buy arrows from my offer, you avoid unnecessary problems and avoid damage to the crossbow. Each crossbow manufacturer gives the minimum weight of the arrow for his crossbow and must be respected here! The energy stored in the painted bow is significant, and in order not to damage the bow, you need to pass it with an arrow, and that's why the arrow must have this minimum weight.
If the arrow has a notch on the chord from the back, you should always place the arrow so that the line slides into this notch. The arrows are two squadrons of orange color and one squadron is yellow. The yellow squirrel is knocked down, so the line will fit into the groove! Wax then gently rubs between the thumb and forefinger in the wrapper, rubbing the wax softens and fills all the blanks. Using wax, you will increase the life of the wrap several times!
The corner should be mounted on the edge of a long bar with screws, but it will interfere with the flight of the boom. To avoid this, make a small groove on the bar.
The next step is to take the short bars, which we fix on the resulting basis of our crossbow, the same subject bolted.
Next, take another piece of rope, attach it to one of the shoulders, pass through the roller, then through the spring, through the second roller, attaching at the end to the second shoulder. The length of the rope should be such that the spring with difficulty reaches its middle.
What are the pitfalls and cost of archery? Archery is one of the most beautiful and most expensive sports for shooting! If you have a suitable goalkeeper, in case of an emergency, a bag full of old rags, and if you do not shoot in one place - you shoot arrows, so your only load of shooting will guard the chase and, if necessary, restore it. I have an opinion that every correct crossbow shooter should not depend on anyone and should be able to do self-seizure.

What to make a crossbow
In general, the hunting tip never has the same accuracy of firing as the target. The reason is the destabilization of the cutting surfaces at the tip of the arrow. In principle, the better and more accurate use of spikes, the higher the accuracy of the shooting. It is preferable to use mechanical spikes that fly closed, accuracy is almost unaffected, and they open only when they hit the target.
Against their higher price, how much do you really use? The last time was an increased interest in medieval culture. We are happy to watch films, read books about past lives, organize thematic evenings. Old technologies are reviving, which allows you to make exact copies of armor and various items. One of the most famous historical objects is the crossbow. You can do this yourself and apply it as an attribute in games, defense or armor. Before we tell how to make a crossbow at home, we will say more precisely: it can be considered as a cold armor, in this case, if the chord's power exceeds the permissible threshold of 20 kg.
Let us now turn to the manufacture of the trigger mechanism. To do this, completely tighten the bowstring of the crossbow and make a mark at the end point.
Make a hole at the mark.
We take a metal plate and cut out of it a workpiece, similar to the one that can be seen in the figure below.
We fix the plate so that the hole on it coincides with the hole in the crossbow.
The crossbow structure consists of three main parts: a bed, an onion and a trigger mechanism. If you want to make a crossbow yourself, start with the bow. Its size will depend on the parameters of the other parts. The previous onion can be made from ash, beer tree or yew. They are not suitable for coniferous trees. Watch for the selected panel without branches and various irregularities.
Kush does not press against the shoulder during the shooting, so there is no butt. The bed consists of deciduous trees that have sufficient hardness. Adjust the size and shape of the board so that it comfortably holds you in your hands. With one edge make a groove for the arc.
We take the door hinge and connect it to the metal corner with a bolt.
We fix the obtained blank from the back side of the plate.
Cut off ten centimeters from the cut and make a hole for fastening the rope. Place the bow in the groove and hold it there for a while, using the bow. Attach chopsticks to both ends of the arc before doing this without a large knife. Pull the helicopter as you did during the shotgun, and mark the maximum point remotely. Take off the bow and continue working on the bed. Therefore, to make a good crossbow that will fit exactly to you, determine the length of your forearm and return to the same distance from the previously made sign, unfasten the board.
Next, we need another bolt. Grind the thread at its edge and attach it to the corner so that it passes through the holes on the crossbow and the metal plate.
We put rubber on the corner. Thus, it is possible to produce a simple trigger that operates according to the following principle. On the ledge of the bolt is attached to the bowstring, and when you pull the trigger, the bolt goes down and releases the bowstring.
Finally, you can make a guide for the crossbow. And you can make it from a regular ruler, which should simply be divided into two parts and fixed on the edges of the bar.
How to make a crossbow for your fiz. options
In the oldest design, they used the type of wheel locking. If you want to make the same crossbow at home, carefully study the technology and start creating a trigger mechanism. At the chord mark, make a hole through the drill, and at the top of the bed make a transverse dip. Then attach the levers to the bottom of the armor. The axis of the lever can be made of wood, fixing it with wire. If you decide to emulate the historical technology, then the hole for the wire should be burned.
The holder for the arrows can be cut from a normal can, and the handle can be made from a piece of wood, which should be simply screwed on the crossbow with a screwdriver. If desired, of course, you can paint crossbow in any color.

The crossbow theme, probably, is endless, that is, I mean - there will always be something interesting on the expanses of the Internet. Amateurs of homemade weapons spend hours wandering around in virtuality, trying to find detailed drawings and new constructive designs for creating their own weapon models, including crossbows.
Make the necessary items using a rope or clamp. Make a hole in the lever, not a through hole, securing the base of the existing hole in the bed. After removing the clamp, check how slowly the lever moves along the axis: the friction should not be large.
Cut a round pin from beech or oak. Its diameter should be slightly smaller than the opening of the lock, that is, the dowel allows to penetrate deeply, supporting the trigger lever. Measure the length so that when the lever is fully raised, its upper edge rotates one level in a plane plane. The function of the lever is to press the chord out of the hole.
Modern arbalestroenie has a rather complex mechanics and not every homemaker "in the teeth" to make a crossbow on new technologies. The reasons for this are different: someone does not have the right equipment, someone can not find the appropriate material, and some simply do not have the professional skills to work with modern technologies. Crossbow masters of the past developed the designs of this magnificent weapon, very simple and accessible to any person with straight arms and good thinking. And believe me, a qualitatively made crossbow in the old blueprints is no worse (by its technical and shooting characteristics) than the heaped factory "miracle" of our days. Moreover, its manufacture does not require the presence of complex equipment and the material can be found easily.
I want to offer you the design of the simplest, in my opinion, crossbow. The diagram of it is placed on one single picture, but this is quite enough to understand how to make such an ancient crossbow.
As you can see, almost all of its details are made of wood, except for a metal cotter pin to connect the trigger mechanism with a crossbow and a steel plate designed to hold the arrow in the crossbow guide when the bowstring is cocked. Now pay attention to the simplicity of joining the bow with the crossbow. Nothing fanciful and abstruse - the usual strong twine, firmly pulling these details together. The bed itself can be cut with an ordinary hacksaw, it can be corrected with a file and sanded with sandpaper.
Four holes will help us drill an electric drill. The only difficulty for someone can cause a selection of grooves for the boom and release lever. But still, I think, there are hand-held circular saws in our time in almost every house. And with such a saw the performance of any groove will not be very difficult.
