How to make well rings. Formwork for reinforced concrete well rings Do-it-yourself molds for reinforced concrete rings

Country farming cannot do without hydraulic structures: septic tanks, sewers and wells. The easiest way to build such objects is using reinforced concrete rings. We will tell you how to make concrete rings yourself, how to make a mold for them and how to properly mix the concrete solution.

There is nothing more familiar than the fruits of your own labor.

FormworkGeneral information

In the photo we see one of the formwork design options.

Reinforced concrete rings are one of the best solutions for the construction of concrete wells and septic tanks. The technical characteristics of concrete rings make it possible not to worry about their integrity in conditions of freezing soil, which has become the determining criterion when choosing materials for our climatic conditions.

However, it is not always possible to purchase and deliver concrete products to the construction site, because the delivery price often exceeds the cost of the product itself. Considering how much it costs to bury a concrete ring, the project can cost an arm and a leg. In some regions there are no construction warehouses or stores at all, so you have to do everything yourself.

Reinforced concrete rings are the best solution for a septic tank.

To do this, it is necessary to solve three problems:

  • Make a mold– formwork for the product;
  • Mix high-quality concrete mortar;
  • Place the mixture in the mold, and upon completion of hardening, release the product from the formwork without damaging the latter.
  • It is important to ensure easy dismantling of the formwork.

    Important!
    You can buy ready-made formwork, but then the whole point of our idea is lost, because we are not going to open an auxiliary production, and for one construction such an acquisition is unprofitable.

    Mold making

    Learning to make a mold for rings.

    A concrete ring is a section of a cylinder with a wall thickness of 80 to 160 mm. Thus, the product itself has internal and external diameters, and the outer one is 8 - 16 cm larger than the inner one. This means that we need to select two steel cylinders with the specified difference in size.

    Advice!
    Concrete rings with a bottom can be made by first pouring a slab at the bottom of the pit into which the product will be installed.

    A standard ring has a height of 90 cm with an internal diameter of 1 m, while the wall thickness is usually 160 mm. However, we can deviate from the dimensions accepted in GOST and proceed from the available means. The only thing that needs to be taken into account is the wall thickness of at least 10 cm and the height and weight of the product adequate for subsequent installation.

    Standard product dimensions according to GOST.

    Concrete rings with a lock are more difficult to make, so we will make products with a smooth edge.

    Important!
    For our purposes, metal barrels, sections of air ducts, pipes and other similar products are suitable.
    These can also be small tanks or tanks, the main thing is a cylindrical shape, a difference in diameters within 10 - 15 cm and durable metal walls.

    Now to the point.

    Step-by-step instructions will help you make the mold yourself:

  • We take a prepared larger cylinder and draw vertical lines opposite each other on its outer and inner walls, and the inner line should be a projection of the outer one. We weld window or door hinges on the outside along these lines, two on each side.

    We weld the loops along the line of the future cut.

  • From the inside, we cut the cylinder along the line with a grinder so as not to damage the hinges. On one side we also cut off the clamps from the spindles in the hinges.

    We cut the cylinder into two parts and remove the clamps from the spindles.

  • We take the spindles out of the hinges and open the product, developing it several times. The form should open out easily.

    We open and develop the cylinder.

  • We take a segment of the inner cylinder and draw the same lines, only this time they should divide the circle into two unequal parts, one of which is twice as large as the other. We weld the same loops along these lines, only from the inside.

    We weld the loops from the inside along the lines.

  • We cut the cylinder in half from the outside with a grinder, trying not to damage the welded hinges. We cut off the spindle clamps on one side and open the smaller sash inward, working out its movement.

    The green color indicates a movable door that opens inward.

  • Important!
    The height of the inner cylinder should exceed the height of the outer cylinder by 10 - 15 cm for ease of laying the concrete mixture.

    Making a ring

    How much it costs to dig a concrete ring depends on the installation method.

    To make the ring, the formwork cylinders must be installed on a flat pallet. This can be a metal or wooden shield or tightly compacted earth.

    Then, in the space between the cylinders, you need to install a reinforcing mesh, which you can purchase or make yourself from steel wire.

    This is what a homemade wire grill looks like.

    For ease of transportation and installation of the product, thick ears made of thick wire or fittings with a diameter of 5 - 6 mm should be inserted into the grille.

    Between the cylinders, at approximately half their height, we insert wooden spacers, the thickness of which is equal to the thickness of the walls of the future product. This is necessary so that when laying the formwork parts do not move relative to each other.

    After this, mix the concrete solution. To do this, take cement grade M400 or higher and mix it with sand sifted and washed from clay in a ratio of 1:2.5.

    Then add water in an amount of 0.5 - 0.7 from cement, so that the mixture is not too greasy, but not too thin.

    Add water carefully, in small portions.

    Add 5 parts of crushed stone and mix the mixture thoroughly by hand or using a concrete mixer. Place the finished solution in the mold to a height of about 30 cm, after which we carefully compact it with a piece of reinforcement or a shovel holder. You can lean a hammer drill against the formwork in impact mode and gently vibrate the concrete.

    Then we similarly lay layer by layer, when we reach half, the wooden wedges can be removed. Gradually fill the form and carefully level the top edge of the ring, trying to make it as even and smooth as possible.

    Don't forget to insert the "ears".

    We leave the product for three days in the shade under a canopy. After they expire, we remove the spindle of the internal formwork and open it inward. Then remove the outer part of the mold in the same way. Leave the ring in place for 10–15 days, moisturize it and protect it from direct sunlight and wind.

    When making a concrete septic tank, it is important to decide how to seal the concrete rings. The easiest way is to use waterproofing and sealant, but there is a more reliable method.

    The polyethylene insert solves the problem of septic tank tightness.

    Important!
    Plastic inserts into concrete rings eliminate the risk of leaks for 30 to 50 years.

    If necessary, you can make a reinforced concrete ring yourself at home. The video in this article will help you better understand the production technology of the product.

    At the moment, perhaps the best solution for arranging various kinds of cylindrical structures in private construction can be called concrete rings. They are much more practical and affordable than products made of brick or metal. Therefore, many owners are increasingly wondering how to make a concrete ring with their own hands.

    Use Cases and Pros

    • Initially, this type of structure was developed for industrial purposes. With their help, sewer wells and outlets were made. They are widely used in construction for laying cable lines and other capital structures. But our enterprising people quickly considered the useful qualities of this material in private construction.
    • First of all, the reinforced concrete ring is perfect for strengthening the walls of drinking wells. The material is environmentally friendly.
    • With the help of these designs, you can easily and quickly organize a decent, durable septic tank in your home or country house.
    • The price of the product, compared to brick, stone or metal, is significantly lower. Plus, the production technology allows you to cast the rings yourself, which will further reduce the cost of the design.
    • The only relative disadvantage can be considered the weight of the concrete ring for the well. But it’s not that big either; it’s not at all necessary to hire a powerful crane for this work. It is quite possible to get by with a car manipulator or several strong male hands and a system of levers.

    Existing standards for concrete rings for wells.

    Tip: in addition to constructing wells and septic tanks, a concrete ring for a well in a country house can be used to create a small cellar. But for this purpose, it is better to do the design yourself.

    Subtleties of making at home

    Construction of a concrete ring It’s ridiculously simple, it’s a concrete casting reinforced with iron on the inside. Attention should be paid to 2 main points: a correctly prepared solution and a well-made mold for casting.

    What types of joining grooves are there for concrete rings?

    Preparation of the solution

    • The quality of the prepared solution plays a big role here, so there is no need to skimp on it. As for cement, as a rule, grade M500 or higher is taken. The rings will be used in extreme conditions and if you use low-grade cement, they will quickly begin to collapse.

    Homemade metal mold from 1.5 mm sheet.

    • Quartz sand is traditionally used as a filler. But the sand must be clean and washed. A high content of silt or clay can significantly reduce the quality of the solution.
    • The gravel should not be very rounded and well washed. Also, do not take layered or lamellar grains. As for the sizes, they are selected at the rate of up to ¼ of the thickness of the ring walls. So for a product with a thickness of 100mm, gravel is taken in the range of up to 25mm.

    Preparation of concrete from M400 cement.

    Important: for this solution, the frost resistance and abrasion coefficients are less important. Here you should pay attention to the shrinkage coefficient. The less concrete shrinks, the denser and stronger it will be. To reduce this coefficient, there are special additives.

    Proportions of concrete using M500 cement.

    Construction of wooden formwork

    • Internal and external formwork can be made of ordinary planed boards and plywood. Planed boards are taken with a thickness of 20 to 50 mm. It is better to take thicker plywood 10 - 12mm.
    • The board will make up the body of the drum. It will be attached to knocked down or glued plywood rings.

    Pouring concrete rings into wooden forms.

    • First, 2 - 3 sheets of plywood are fastened together, the sheets are taken 300 - 400 mm larger than the outer diameter of the ring. Afterwards, a pattern is made from this blank using a jigsaw for the outer and inner contours of the formwork. When making calculations, do not forget to take into account the thickness of the planed board with which the contour will be sheathed.
    • There are 2 contours, top and bottom. After this, both contours are sheathed with prepared boards and cut into sectors for ease of dismantling after the structure has hardened.
    • Sectors of the external formwork can be fastened with wooden planks or, better yet, metal hoops. From the inside, the formwork is cut into 2 segments and removable strips 20 - 30 mm wide are made at the junction of the segments. After hardening, the removable strips are removed and the segments of the internal contour are pulled out.

    Metal formwork

    • This option is easier to manufacture, much more durable, plus the metal does not absorb moisture. But for it you will need 2 metal or plastic barrels or pipes of suitable diameter for the internal and external circuit.

    Installing the top clamps on a homemade mold.

    • Next, draw 2 vertical lines diagonally on the plane of the outer cylinder. On their border, on the outside, 2 - 3 window awnings need to be fixed, welded or riveted. After which the contour is cut with a grinder according to the markings. But be careful not to damage the awnings.

    Ring shape with adjustable diameter.

    • The fastening rods of the canopies are also cut off, but only on one side, so that they can be taken out and inserted back.
    • The internal contour is made in the same way, only the canopies are attached from the inside of the cylinder. The sizes of the sectors here need to be different, so they will be easier to remove. The smaller sector should be 1/3 of the cylinder diameter.

    Metal factory formwork.

    Pouring technology

    • The instructions on how to fill rings in wooden or metal formwork are similar. Initially, the rings are installed on a flat, durable surface, centered and fixed in their original position.
    • It can be fixed with wooden spacers, which are subsequently removed, from the inside in 3 to 4 places. Or use metal threaded studs and nuts. In the holes from the studs, you can then attach metal brackets that fasten 2 adjacent rings. Otherwise, you will need diamond drilling into the concrete to make the connections.
    • The reinforcement frame is made from a rod with a cross-section of 6 - 10 mm. There must be at least 4 horizontal reinforcing rings per 1 m height of the structure. Vertical cross members are attached in increments of 100 - 150 mm. If you do not want to reinforce the structure, then in this case the thickness of the ring should be at least 150 mm, plus the concrete should have a high strength coefficient.
    • The solution is made with good fluidity. For plasticity, people add slaked lime and a little detergent. But as mentioned earlier, it is better to use special additives that increase the shrinkage of concrete.
    • Filling is done around the perimeter in several stages to a height of 150 - 200mm. Before pouring the next portion, the previous fill must be pierced in order to expel the air.
    • The top edge is aligned horizontally. If the edge turns out to be crooked, then to straighten it you will need to cut the reinforced concrete with diamond wheels.

    Important: the formwork can be removed after 3 – 4 days. But the ring cannot be moved yet, the concrete gains strength within 27 days, during which time it must be periodically wetted.

    The video in this article shows the making of rings

    Conclusion

    It’s not difficult to make smooth concrete rings for your home with your own hands. It is more problematic to make rings with a joining edge at home. If you want to cast such structures, we advise you to purchase a special formwork; it will be faster and easier.

    The technology for self-casting concrete rings is not particularly complex. Some difficulties for the owner of the site in the manufacture of such products may arise, perhaps, only with the assembly of the formwork. However, in order for the rings to ultimately turn out strong and truly durable, the owner of the well will, of course, need to choose the right materials for pouring them.

    What can you make a mold from?

    Reinforced concrete rings are usually poured in formwork made from:

    • steel sheet;
    • boards

    In both of these cases, the finished form is a prefabricated structure consisting of several parts. It is impossible to make continuous formwork for pouring reinforced concrete rings. After all, once the cement mortar has hardened, it will be very difficult to remove the finished product from the mold of such a design.

    Formwork of this type is cut from sheet steel using a grinder with preliminary cutting. Next, the metal is given the appropriate shape by bending and secured in this position.

    To make a wooden mold:

    1. Four narrow metal rings are welded. The diameter of these formwork elements is selected in accordance with the internal and external diameter of the future reinforced concrete product.
    2. The rings made in this way are sheathed vertically with boards. The lumber for assembling such formwork should not be too wide.
    3. Divide the internal and external parts of the resulting formwork into compartments.
    4. Locks are made to connect the arched parts of the mold.

    What dimensions should a reinforced concrete ring have?

    When choosing the dimensions of such a product, you should, of course, focus primarily on existing standards. After all, in the end the ring should be as durable as possible. Otherwise, when constructing a well, such a product may simply fall apart.

    On the market today you can buy mostly standard rings with a height of 900 mm. There are other versions of similar products on sale - 500, 450 and 350 mm. But ready-made rings of this variety are considered additional ones and, when strengthening the walls of wells, are most often used only at the very top. That is, if the standard ring does not fit in height.

    At home, rings are also usually cast with a height of 900 mm. But moving products of such dimensions to the installation site, even by rolling, can still be difficult. Therefore, in the absence of assistants, it may make sense to make rings of smaller height.

    The standard diameter of concrete products of this type is usually 1-2 m. In this case, the wall thickness of the ring can vary between 70-140 mm. Such standards are provided for products cast from concrete alone. It is recommended to fill the rings with your own hands with additional reinforcement. When using a metal reinforcing frame, the thickness of such products, made independently, may be less - 60-80 mm.

    What you need for filling

    In order to make a concrete ring with your own hands, you need to prepare:

    • cement, sand, gravel;
    • mesh for sifting sand;
    • concrete mixer;
    • shovel, wheelbarrow, buckets;
    • plastic film.

    You will also need a reinforcing rod to strengthen the walls of the product.

    How to choose the right filling materials

    During operation in a well, concrete rings will be constantly exposed to water. And therefore, in order for them to last as long as possible, only the highest quality materials should, of course, be used for their manufacture. It is advisable to use hydrophobic cement for pouring. But you can also use regular ones, brands no lower than “400”.

    Quartz sand is usually used as a filler when making concrete rings with your own hands. The presence of any organic inclusions in this material can have a very negative impact on the quality of the finished product. Therefore, before mixing the solution, quartz sand must be sifted and washed with water.

    Another component of the mixture for filling well rings is gravel. It is believed that only granite material of this type is suitable for the manufacture of such reinforced concrete products. To fill the rings, you should select cube-shaped gravel that is not too rounded. Plate material of this type is not suitable for such products.

    When choosing gravel, among other things, you should pay attention to its fraction. Such a filler should not be too fine. It is also not allowed to use gravel for filling that contains stones larger than ¼ of the wall thickness of the future ring.

    How to make a solution

    It is best to prepare a solution for filling well rings in a concrete mixer. Manual kneading is also acceptable. However, in a concrete mixer, the finished solution will in any case be of much higher quality. This is due to the fact that when using such equipment, the mixture comes out much more homogeneous in composition.

    Of course, you shouldn’t make the solution too liquid for making rings. Otherwise, the product will end up being fragile. The consistency of the finished solution should be such that it does not flow from the shovel and does not stick to it in lumps.

    A solution for filling rings is usually prepared in a cement/gravel/sand ratio of 1:2:4. The reinforcing frame for the ring is knitted using a steel rod with a thickness of at least 8 mm. Rusty fittings are not allowed to be used for the manufacture of such products. Such rods must be cleaned before use.

    Laying mortar into formwork

    The rings for the well need to be filled in one step. These products are relatively small and quickly laying the mortar with your own hands will most likely not be difficult. When pouring, among other things, you should ensure that no air bubbles remain inside the cement-sand mixture. To do this, the mortar in the formwork must be pierced from time to time with a steel rod.

    If the rings are supposed to be installed in a ready-made well using special equipment, steel loops should be poured into them at the manufacturing stage for attaching the cable. Subsequently, when assembling the reinforcing layer in the shaft, these elements will have to be cut off with a grinder.

    After laying the solution, the upper part of the ring must be covered with polyethylene. The formwork can be removed from the finished frozen product no earlier than after two days. You should not use the rings for their intended purpose right away. You should wait for the concrete to mature. This process usually takes at least 28 days. During the first two weeks after pouring, the finished rings must be moistened with water at least once a day. This will prevent the top layer of concrete from cracking.

    Installation of rings

    Wells already existing on the site are usually reinforced with concrete rings using special equipment. As a last resort, you can use some homemade fairly reliable lifting mechanism. But in any case, work on installing rings in the well should be done as carefully as possible. They must be placed in the mine only with assistants.

    A new concrete well on the site can be installed without the use of special equipment or additional mechanisms. In this case:

    • the ring moves by rolling to the site of the future well;
    • the product is turned over from its edge to its normal position;
    • soil is removed from under the ring in portions until it is buried in the ground to the upper edge;
    • the upper edge of the product is coated with concrete mixture, after which the next ring is installed.

    According to this scheme, work continues until the required depth is reached. Next, the rings are secured with plates or staples so that they do not move. The work is completed by making a cover for a new well, for example, from sheet metal and installing a bucket lift or pumping equipment.

    Reinforced concrete rings are distinguished by a variety of structural designs, which determines the breadth of their application. The demand for reinforced concrete rings is caused by their numerous advantages, such as reliability, strength, and high resistance to external loads.

    The scope of application of reinforced concrete rings depends on the materials from which they are made. For their production, different grades of concrete, crushed stone and sand with a wide granulometric composition, metal reinforcement or mesh are used. They provide a sufficient margin of safety for the use of concrete rings in the construction of wells for drinking water, wells, collectors, septic tanks, inspection tanks, sewers, and gas pipelines. Drainage systems are also mounted on reinforced concrete rings.

    Marking, size range

    Concrete products are designated according to the area of application and dimensions. Units of measurement are decimeter or meter. Examples of letter markings according to GOST:

    • KS - wall concrete rings for equipment of inspection or necks;
    • KSD - wall products with a bottom;
    • KO - with support;
    • KFK - for septic tanks and fecal systems;
    • KLK - storm drains;
    • KLV - water intake wells in storm drains;
    • KVG - for the construction of water and gas pipelines.
    Table of markings and sizes of rings.

    Marking may include the grade of concrete used, usually from M200 to M500, and information about reinforcement. For example, standard wall rings for wells are not reinforced, since the concrete itself can withstand lateral loads and work in compression. Reinforcement is necessary for rings for use in difficult soil conditions. To do this, take steel rods up to 1 cm thick or reinforcing mesh measuring 0.6-1 mm.

    The weight of concrete rings varies in the range of 44-1470 kg.

    What qualities do they meet?

    GOST 8020-90 defines the properties characteristic of reinforced concrete rings. The markings, scope of application, and dimensions of standard structures are described here. The strength values of concrete types used for pouring rings are standardized in GOST 10180. GOST 10060 includes information on the frost resistance of the material, and GOST 12730 - on water resistance. Compliance with GOST requirements provides the following advantages of rings:

    • availability of installation at different depths in soil of any quality;
    • lightness and high rates of masonry;
    • ease of installation of waterproofing and insulation;
    • reliability;
    • ability to withstand any mechanical, aggressive influences;
    • ease of repair and operation;
    • durability.

    The only drawback is the weight. For this reason, there is a need to use lifting equipment to construct concrete rings.

    Kinds

    There is a classification of concrete rings according to GOST and the type of structural design of standard sizes (diameter - 7-12 dm, height - 0.1-1 meter).

    Auxiliary

    Concrete rings are made to order, for example, when non-standard sizes, shapes or additional holes are needed. Additional and supporting concrete rings are used during the installation of complex technological objects, for arranging turns of utility lines, during the construction of a well neck, when drainage systems are installed. Such rings can be standard or square.

    Wall

    The rings are characterized by the absence of additional fasteners. They are most often used to construct necks. They are easy to install: the products are stacked on top of each other, and the seams are sealed with concrete mortar. Disadvantages - instability of the structure, the possibility of destruction at the slightest shift of soil.

    With a lock

    Designs with a lock are popular because of their reliability. The main task of the lock is to ensure the tightness of joints and increase stability. A concrete product with a recess in the end is able to withstand powerful quicksand.

    Precast concrete rings

    The production of prefabricated reinforced concrete rings is carried out at the factory. They feature improved technical characteristics. Because of this, they are endowed with many advantages.

    1. Frost resistance provided by the strong bond between steel and concrete after drying.
    2. Anti-corrosion resistance obtained due to the protection of reinforcement with concrete.
    3. Fire resistance.
    4. Durability in any operating conditions. Strengthening with reinforcement makes it resistant to heavy loads. Thanks to the use of high-grade concrete, the structure does not lose its characteristics, does not deform or collapse over time.
    5. Low cost of products.

    There is only one drawback - a lot of weight.

    With bottom

    Ring with bottom.

    Reinforced concrete rings with a finished sealed and waterproof bottom are used to equip sewer wells, settling chambers, and septic tanks. The bottom protects the reinforced concrete structure from leakage of groundwater and from the seepage of harmful substances into the soil. The most common dimensions in cross section (meter), height (dm), weight (kg):

    • 1 x 9 x 830 kg;
    • 1.5 x 9 x 1400 kg;
    • 2 x 9 x 2300 kg.

    With floor slab

    Products with floor slabs are designed for constructing deep wells. Such a reinforced concrete ring is the final element of the structure and has a hole in the reinforced concrete floor slab, offset from the center for installing the well neck. Reinforcement with a floor slab gives the ring greater strength and reliability.

    Production technology

    Manufacturing reinforced concrete rings is a labor-intensive process that requires certain skills and knowledge. Therefore, for the construction of a small well, it is more advisable to purchase ready-made concrete products. You should know that the formwork for the rings is quite complex in its structural design. Casting work requires precision and accuracy. Compliance with the rules will avoid unevenness, loss of strength and the formation of voids in concrete. The main stages of ring production are described below.

    Preparation of materials and tools

    Required materials for formwork: two barrels and window awnings.

    For formwork you will need:

    • two steel barrels of different sizes;
    • door or window awnings;
    • fastening fittings;
    • “pencil” for metal;
    • grinder, cutting disc.

    To prepare the solution:

    • ready-made dry mortar or individual ingredients for mortar;
    • concrete mixer;
    • a bucket with which to measure the required volume;
    • vibration compactor.

    Basic requirements for the production process

    1. It is necessary to ensure sufficient strength of the collapsible form for the concrete rings.
    2. High-grade mixture not lower than M500.
    3. Fine aggregate - crushed stone with a grain size of 0.5-1 cm, washed sand.
    4. High-quality vibration compaction.
    5. Heating during operation at temperatures up to 5 0C.

    Construction of formwork and frame

    The outside of a cylindrical barrel is marked with two longitudinal “pencil” lines across the metal in half. Two door or window awnings are attached to the marked lines. Their bends must coincide with the drawn line. The same marking is applied from the inside of the cylinder, along which an incision is made with a grinder. This allows you to make the formwork drop-down. Fastening fittings are used to connect the halves.

    The second cylindrical barrel should be smaller than the first. The same marks are made on it as on the first one with a distance between the lines of 1/3 from each other along the circumference. Canopies and spindles are also attached. The cylinder is cut along one line. The hinged parts must be assembled so that the inside of the structure is 5-10 cm higher than the external formwork.

    The cylinders should open: the top one - outward, the inner one - inward. A reinforcing frame made of steel reinforcement or metal mesh is poured with concrete in the support ring, forming a strong reinforced concrete layer.

    Filling with composition

    To prepare the pour, you can use a ready-made concrete mixture or make it yourself. In the latter case, it is customary to take the ratio of cement to crushed stone and sand equal to 1: 1: 3. The volume of water is determined visually so that the solution is evenly distributed inside. The liquid is added in parts with thorough mixing.

    The finished concrete solution is poured in portions. Each layer is carefully compacted. To do this, it is better to use a special vibration device. The large weight requires installation by a crane, so four mounting loops with a cross-section of 8-10 mm are installed in the reinforced concrete rings at the molding stage. The ends of the wire are bent and buried in concrete at a distance of 40-50 cm.

    Seal

    The entire volume is qualitatively compacted to remove air, which increases the strength of the finished product. Bayoneting or tamping with a rod partially solves the problem. In the absence of a vibrating platform, the use of a conventional hammer drill is allowed. To do this, instead of a peak, a reinforcement with a metal plate welded to its end is clamped.

    Dismantling

    The bolts of the external formwork are loosened. To make the mold easier to separate, the walls are tapped with a hammer. The inner part will be easier to remove if you first place two square pipes in it. After the concrete has thickened and hardened, these parts are simply knocked out of the concrete mold.

    Conclusion

    Reinforced concrete rings are available in a wide range on the market. There is also the opportunity to make them yourself. In any case, finished products require proper care, which includes proper installation, surface maintenance and high-quality waterproofing.

    The large weight requires the use of special equipment for their laying.

    Reinforced concrete structures are used quite widely in the construction of various communications in industrial and private construction. Reinforced concrete rings are used in the construction of sewer inspection and drainage wells. They are made using special molds. Moreover, the shapes for well rings can be different.

    Wall well rings are manufactured in accordance with GOST in different sizes. For this purpose, the vibroforming method is used. In this case, the concrete mixture is placed in a special form with stripping and compacted through vibration.

    This technology allows the production of rings of almost different sizes. The productivity of this method is 30 reinforced concrete products per work shift, and only one mold is used. To ensure such a pace, it is necessary to prepare the mixture directly at the production site with control of the moisture content in the solution.

    In most industries, such control is carried out visually. The moisture content is determined by the nature of the concrete mixer operation and the consistency of the mixture. It is quite possible to transport concrete in special vehicles from nearby production sites. But the volume of reinforced concrete. the mixture must meet the needs of production.

    Vibrators are installed on special platforms. Before pouring the concrete mixture, the form is assembled. To do this, the core is installed in the center of the outer cylinder and fixed with metal fingers.

    A standard sample of a vibroform is designed for the production of rings for wells with already built-in eyes for loading and installation. These are loops that can be made of durable metal and rigidly connected to the elements reinforcing the frame of the ring. However, with this manufacturing option, the manufacture of a ring with a lock is excluded. There are more modern versions of forms, where openings are installed on the side walls of the form. Their purpose is to create a through eye in the wall of the product, which will be used to attach slings for moving the ring. When constructing a well, these holes are plugged.

    The price of a mold for the production of reinforced concrete rings is constant, regardless of the presence or absence of opening formers. The most important thing for the manufacturer is to have a clear idea of which type of reinforced concrete - with locks, with eyes or with hinges - will be more in demand in his region.

    The video will help you become more familiar with the vibration forming device.

    Homemade molds for making concrete rings

    Many owners of private houses quite successfully make molds for the production of well rings on their own. Since it is not used often, there is no point in spending quite a lot of money to purchase factory-made reinforced concrete. products. Unless, of course, you are going to set up production for sale. And you can make 3-4 concrete rings for a well or drainage pit yourself. You can make such a shape from scrap materials.

    What does it give:

    • Saving money when purchasing a finished product;
    • There is no need to deliver the rings to the installation site;
    • Confidence in the reliability and quality of the final product;
    • You can rent out the formwork and thereby get back the money spent.

    How to make formwork?

    How and from what formwork for reinforced concrete is made. rings? The most successful option will come from old barrels or a large piece of pipe. You can also use plastic cylinders. All such products have a geometrically correct shape, which is quite difficult to make from a sheet of metal. After all, this will require special equipment - a sheet bending machine.

    Important! It is necessary to pay attention to the fact that the diameters of the barrels or pipes for the manufacture of formwork should differ by 8-10 cm. After all, a reinforcing frame will have to be installed inside.

    The formwork for reinforced concrete rings consists of the parts shown in the drawing. You have to make four parts approximately of the same shape as shown in the drawing:

    1. The bottom of the barrels is cut out, the inside is made higher than the outside;
    2. We make markings that divide the barrels vertically into two identical parts (outside and inside);
    3. Using welding or rivets, we attach a metal corner (preferably solid) on both outer sides along the marking line;
    4. Holes are drilled in the corners for subsequent bolting;
    5. Then we carefully cut the barrel along the internal markings, using a grinder with the thinnest stone possible.

    The inner ring is manufactured in exactly the same way, the only difference is that the reinforcement corners must be attached from the inside.

    This video shows the operation of a plant for the production of reinforced concrete. rings that anyone can make.

    Conclusion: making concrete rings with your own hands is quite simple, if you have the necessary tools and skills in working with metal.

    Manufacturing technology

    For the manufacture of reinforced concrete rings for wells, grade 200 concrete is used with the installation of a reinforcing belt made of a rod with a diameter of 0.5 - 10 mm. The form is installed on a flat surface or a special stand. Then the reinforcement is laid and semi-dry mortar is applied on top. After vibration is turned on, you will need to add the mixture to the upper level. Smoothing of the end is carried out after completion of the molding process.

    Until the cement has gained initial strength, the product is in the formwork. After this, unmolding is carried out and you can begin a new bookmark. During one work shift (8 hours), from 10 to 15 reinforced concrete parts are manufactured. rings

    Many ring mold options are designed and manufactured so that they can be moved to the demoulding area with the completed ring. Today, many manufacturers make rings with locks. This is a tongue-and-groove joining system. This type of installation allows for almost complete waterproofness and tightness of the connection, and protects the finished shaft from horizontal displacement.

    Preparation of concrete mixture

    There are several options for preparing a concrete mixture. They depend on the area of application of reinforced concrete. products (laying communications, building wells or inspection shafts), and the soil in which the installation will be carried out.

    Mixture ingredients:

    • 1 part cement grade 200 - 1 part fine sand - 2 parts road gravel;
    • 1 part cement grade 300 – 1 part river sand – 2 parts screenings.

    To gain the required strength of the finished ring, temperature and time conditions must be observed. Concrete The product must be kept at a temperature of + 20°C for two days. But the pre-sale strength of hardened concrete should be 70% or higher. And this will take 7 days.

    List of equipment for the production of concrete rings

    To carry out the work you need to have a spacious construction site. The list of equipment required for the manufacture of reinforced concrete. structures need to be included:

    1. Powerful concrete mixer;
    2. Molds for making various ring options;
    3. Vibrators;
    4. Lifting device;

    Important! When making products outdoors, the mold must have a special lid that will protect the solution from precipitation and unwanted objects.

    Transportation of rings to the installation site must comply with all safety regulations. Today, many precast concrete manufacturers have special vehicles with cranes at their disposal for transporting heavy structures. The use of such transport simplifies the task of delivering and installing rings to the consumer.

    Conclusion. As we can see, you can make a concrete ring for a well or communication yourself. This is quite a difficult but doable task. But the money saved will be needed to purchase other materials needed during construction.
